What inspired you to join mom & baby classes at Body Connection Fitness and continue going? When I was pregnant I really wanted to do a prenatal class that would keep me healthy throughout pregnancy. I came across Body Connection Fitness on Facebook, and once I looked at the website I couldn’t wait to join. It was exactly what I was looking for, for pre and post baby exercise. I was very happy I found the posting and was able to start right away. The motivation of seeing other moms coming out to classes and Jessica’s encouraging workouts help me stick with it and keep motivated to continue classes on a daily basis.
How long have you been attending classes? I started prenatal classes when I was about 6 months pregnant, then started up again when my son was 2.5 months old.
How has it impacted you since you joined Body Connection Fitness? I have more energy to get through the days. It’s a great way to get me out of the house and connecting with other moms who have similar goals. Also, getting out in the fresh air and being active helps me feel mentally and emotionally balanced.
Describe your favorite class. I have two favorite classes at the moment. Abs, Butt, and Cardio and Shred & Sculpt. Both are great classes that target all the muscles groups that need it the most. They are great workouts that keep my heart rate up throughout the whole class. When I finish these classes I feel really good about accomplishing a tough workout.
What changes have you noticed since you started coming to classes? I have more energy, muscles are getting toned and I have increased strength. Before joining I would always feel sluggish throughout the days, but since starting up I have been able to get through the days without needing afternoon naps!
So many moms are feeling too tired to workout, how do you juggle being a mom, working out and living everyday life? I make the workouts a priority. Without my workouts I don’t think I’d be able to make it through the day. Morning classes help get me motivated to start the day early and keep going. Since the classes are only 45 minutes it works out great for bringing my son and getting him home in time for a nap so I can do things around the house. If the workout is all I can get done in a day I still feel good knowing that I am keeping myself fit and healthy so I can keep up with my son and future kids.
What would you say to moms that have not tried a mom & baby class at Body Connection Fitness? I would say you definitely have to come to Jessica’s classes. She has great classes for moms just starting to get back into fitness. Once you’ve reached a level where your ready for a tougher workout she has those classes available and its great to see how far you have come since having a baby. I started out just doing strollerfit once a week, and now I do a class every day, some 2 times a day. If getting back into your pre baby body and being active is important to you, I definitely recommend Body Connection Fitness. Its also a great way to make new mom and baby friends!
